About Crosstalk
CROSSTALK is a modern jazz ensemble based in Portland, Oregon specializing in fresh takes on jazz & pop repertoire and thoughtful original material. The band is a creative partnership between in-demand rhythm section players Joshua Hegg (keys) and Paul Stewart (bass) conceived as a platform to explore the pair’s diverse musical tastes and aspirations. In addition to the duo, the CROSSTALK augments itself with some of best instrumentalists and vocalists in the PNW depending on what the date and music require. Along with original compositions, a setlist for a club date might feature arrangements of pop tunes by Radiohead, Katy Perry & Michael Jackson, reimagined songs from anime & video games, and material from the classic and contemporary jazz canon.
